BHG conducts market assessment for new Rheem® HotWave™ hose sprayer

Did you ever wish that was hot water coming out of your garden hose as you clean your patio furniture, wash your car or bathe your dog? Rheem, a leading global water heating and HVAC company, has introduced a new product that delivers all the hot water you need for those tasks and more.

HotWave is a multipurpose hose sprayer that uses tankless water heating technology to provide endless hot water outdoors, making cleaning dirt and grime easier and faster.

During the product’s initial development phases, Rheem turned to The Bloodhound Group to assess market applications and dimensions as well as potential channels of distribution. BHG explored and substantiated HotWave’s opportunity in the home maintenance, pet care, equine and camping segments, among others.

HotWave features plug-and-play design that easily attaches to any garden hose. Users can both heat and access water from a single source, eliminating the need to go indoors to get hot water outdoors. Water temperature can be changed instantly from cool to warm to hot, up to a maximum of 110 degrees, to accommodate all washing needs.

Rheem launched an Indiegogo campaign in late July to fund the product’s final development; funding totals have already more than doubled the initial goal of $50,000. View the Indiegogo video on HotWave.
