Rheem Manufacturing, the global market leader in residential water heaters, teamed with The Bloodhound Group for its first-quarter introduction of a revolutionary new water heater that enables homeowners to control settings remotely and sends notifications about any potential issues. The new product was launched through The Home Depot.
BHG worked with Rheem on product naming, messaging and creative concepting. The Bloodhound Group’s creative team, Scott Ballew and Adam Cohen, joined with Fort Smith, Arkansas-based 5 Star Productions to develop print and video assets for the digital launch campaign.
The new Rheem innovation changes the water heater game by giving consumers the power to:
- Know—Through integrated WiFi and Rheem’s EcoNet® app, homeowners can avoid cold showers and running out of hot water; the app also alerts when the water heater needs service.
- Control—Built-in EcoNet WiFi technology allows users to manage hot water, track energy use and set energy-saving scheduling modes such as “vacation,” all from their mobile devices.
- Protect—Gladiator’s 360-degree LeakSense Leak Detection system detects potential leaks, and its LeakGuard Auto Shutoff Valve engages in the unlikely event a leak is identified. The water heater’s self-cleaning feature prolongs tank life and helps maintains efficiency.
